About Us
Gary and Maggie Minkiewicz live with their
Flat-Coated Retrievers in Northeast Georgia on the
Chattahoochee River, one hour NE of Atlanta.  Hence
the kennel name "Chattaflats".  They have had dogs
together since 1972;  a mix named Sadie, Basset
Hounds and Basset litters, and two Scotties.  Maggie
comes from a family of dog breeders and professional
handlers.  In addition to their canine interests,
Maggie oil paints and Gary plays blues and jazz
guitar.  They have three grown children and are filling
their empty nest with Flat-Coats who just love
swimming in nearby Lake Lanier.  Gary hunts over the
dogs, and they both share in field training and other
dog activities.

The dogs live in their home and travel with them
regularly to shows and field events.  Gary and Maggie
are members in good standing of the Flat-Coated
Retriever Society of America and the Northeast
Flat-Coated Retriever Club.  Maggie is on the FCRSA
Cancer Studies Support Team.

Please contact them with any questions or requests.
They love to talk about the breed and can help you
decide if a Flat-Coated Retriever is right for you.
